Dentsu Selected for the FTSE Blossom Japan Index and the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index

― Selected for the fifth consecutive year and the second consecutive year respectively ―

Dentsu Group Inc. (Brand: “dentsu”; Headquarters: Dentsu Group Inc.; Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & Global CEO: Hiroshi Igarashi) announces it has satisfied the requirements to become a constituent of the FTSE Blossom Japan Index^*1 for the fifth consecutive year and the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index^*2 for the second consecutive year. These indices have been adopted by Japan’s Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), one of the world’s largest pension funds.

The Group seeks to enhance its corporate value by further integrating financial and non-financial aspects of its business and by generating ideas for the future to solve challenges facing society through business^*3.

*1 FTSE Blossom Japan Index:
Created by the global index and data provider FTSE Russell, the FTSE Blossom Japan Index is designed as an industry neutral benchmark that reflects the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices in Japan.
FTSE Russell evaluations are based on performance in areas such as Corporate Governance, Health & Safety, Anti-Corruption and Climate Change. Businesses included in the FTSE Blossom Japan Index meet a variety of environmental, social and governance criteria.

The index selects companies with higher ESG Ratings within the top 50% of each sector and supports climate transition to a low carbon economy by evaluating companies’ climate governance and climate change efforts via the Transition Pathway Initiative’s Management Quality Score.
