Yoshihiro Yagi Selected as Jury President for the Art Direction Category at the D&AD Awards

Dentsu (Brand: dentsu; Headquarters: Dentsu Group Inc.; Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & Global CEO: Hiroshi Igarashi) announced today that Yoshihiro Yagi, who is a Growth Officer, effective January 1, 2026, at dentsu Japan, which oversees and operates the Dentsu Group’s business in Japan, as well as an Executive Creative Director at Dentsu Inc.’s creative collective ‘zero’, has been selected as the jury president for the Art Direction category at the D&AD Awards^* 2026 (hereinafter “D&AD Awards”), which will be held in the United Kingdom in May 2026.

D&AD is a global creativity non-profit that celebrates, stimulates and enables excellence in design and commercial creativity. Established in the UK in 1962, through its world-renowned Awards and education programmes, D&AD aims to generate funding to champion the next generation of creative talent to drive positive change in the industry and beyond. In 2026 the D&AD Awards will feature 46 categories. The organisation is known for its iconic awards, which are considered by many to be the pinnacle of their careers when won. The award levels include the Black Pencil, the highest creative accolade; the Yellow Pencil; the Graphite Pencil; the Wood Pencil; and the White Pencil, which honours exceptional projects that use the power of creativity to drive behavioral, environmental, societal, or policy change.

The Art Direction category, for which Yoshi will serve as jury president, comprehensively evaluates the overall design, visual direction, and style for campaigns or elements of them, including work created for digital platforms, film, print, out-of-home, gaming, and virtual worlds. Many of the jury presidents are past winners, and Yoshi, one of the few Black Pencil winners in the Asia region, is delighted to lead the Art Direction Jury in 2026.
