Priority issues in 2014

  • Clients on a global scale have growing expectations for the integrated Dentsu Group. Therefore, we will take more aggressive approaches to acquire new accounts and expand our coverage area.
  • At the same time, we will continue to target acquisitions which accelerate scale, infill and innovation, and establish our business platform in emerging markets.
  • Recently we announced an agreement to acquire a majority stake in one of Brazil’s largest independent full-service advertising agencies. We will take a significant step toward business platform development in the country which is set to host the 2014 FIFA World CupTM and the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio, and where high growth is expected in its advertising market.
  • The digital domain, where we have already secured top-class scale and solutions on a global basis, will remain the core of our growth in fiscal 2014, particularly with the growth of programmatic advertising across the industry.
  • We believe we can continue to outperform the growth rate of the global market in fiscal 2014 by innovating the business process and evolving the profit structure in Japan, as I mentioned earlier.
